The mystery shopper assessment is general. There were no purchases of challenges, trading on a demo account, trading on simulation accounts, or withdrawal of funds. We recommend paying attention to those companies where the mystery shopper has performed a more in-depth check of the propcompany.

  • Customer complaints about difficulties passing KYC.
  • A rather limited set of tradable instruments: only about 40 assets available for trading.

The company is present on Instagram, maintains a page on social network X, and has a Discord community. A question was submitted via Instagram. No response was received. Instagram is an additional but unofficial communication channel. It is recommended to use only official support sources to receive relevant and accurate information, as well as for timely resolution of any issues.

Restrictions, fines, blocking

Blocking for account inactivity:

If a trader does not make any trades on the account for more than 30 consecutive calendar days, the account will be deactivated.

Single IP rule:

Alpha Capital Group allows trading from multiple IP addresses and devices, provided that trades are executed by the account owner.

Overnight position:

Holding positions overnight and over the weekend is allowed at all stages in the Alpha Swing, Alpha One, and Alpha Three challenges. The Alpha Pro plan has restrictions: after achieving Qualified Analyst status, holding positions over the weekend is prohibited.

Copy trading:

Allowed, but under certain conditions. Traders can use external accounts as master accounts, provided they personally own them. Account number, investor password, and server must be provided for verification. The company explains this requirement as a way to prevent third-party involvement. Copy trading between two accounts within the company is also allowed. To set it up, you must provide support with the numbers of your main and secondary accounts. It’s important to note that copy trading on cTrader and DXtrade platforms is not supported.

Use of VPN and VPS:

Allowed.

Prohibited trading practices:
  • Latency trading: Using data transmission delays between platforms to profit from price discrepancies.
  • Arbitrage trading: Profiting from price mismatches between different markets or platforms.
  • High-Frequency Trading (HFT): Using algorithmic strategies to execute a large number of trades in a short period of time.
  • Reverse Trading / Group Hedging: Coordinated actions by a group of traders opening opposite positions to minimize risk or manipulate outcomes.
  • Spamming Order Book: Placing a large number of orders in the order book to create a false impression of market activity.
Claims to blocking conditions:

No claims.

Convenience of the personal account

Informativeness of the personal account:

The personal account displays all key challenge parameters: profit target, allowed drawdown, profit split percentage in favor of the trader, and convenient withdrawal options.

Correspondence of information on the site with the Personal Account:

The information matches.

Navigation and usability:

The personal account provides convenient and informative challenge statistics to track progress and analyze results. There’s also a dedicated section with an economic calendar, market news, and important events to keep you up to date. For competitive traders, a separate section with current and past contests is available. In addition, there is a partner section within the personal account.

Negative Reviews Online

There are user reviews online mentioning issues during the KYC procedure.

Another example of critical feedback about the company concerns delays in providing a funded account to the trader.

Opinion of the Mystery Shopper

Alpha Capital Group is a London-based company that can be classified as one of the younger players in the prop trading industry. It’s only in its fourth year on the market, but it has already made an impression on traders. Online, you can find both positive feedback and criticism. The advantages include rather attractive cooperation terms — such as low profit targets traders are required to meet, and no strict time limits during the challenge stages. Also worth noting is the opportunity to test the company through a Free Trial and the availability of an educational program for traders. The company is criticized for its overly complex and tightly regulated rules, as well as for a relatively small list of trading instruments. It is more suitable for traders with moderate strategies and strong discipline — those who prefer to trade without time pressure.

Would you recommend this company?

I haven’t come across negative reviews about Alpha Capital Group in trader communities, but there are public complaints related to difficulties in passing the KYC procedure. The decision to cooperate with this company is entirely up to you. Personally, I haven’t taken their challenge yet, but if I do — I’ll definitely share my experience and update the status.

Tried Alpha Capital Group for a couple of months, and honestly, it’s been more stress than progress. The platform looks fine at first, but when markets move fast — like during NY open — execution slows down big time. I trade mostly gold and NAS100, and a few times my orders got slipped pretty bad. Their rules also feel way too tight, especially around daily drawdown. Contacted support a few times, but replies were generic, like copy-paste stuff. It’s not a total scam, but definitely not the reliable setup I was hoping for.

I’ve been using Alpha Capital Group for a couple of months now, and it’s been a pretty good experience. Execution on EUR/USD and US30 has been smooth, and the platform feels stable even during volatile sessions. The rules are straightforward, so you know what to expect without hidden surprises. Withdrawals went through without any hassle, which I appreciate. Not perfect — spreads can widen a bit during news — but overall, Alpha Capital Group seems fair and reliable for traders who follow the rules.

I honestly don’t know where to start with Alpha Capital Group. I’ve been trying to get support from them for weeks now, and every time I contact them, it feels like I’m talking to a robot. Emails go unanswered, and when they do reply, it’s always some generic copy-paste message that doesn’t actually solve anything. I even tried calling the number on their website a few times, but it’s really hard to get through to someone who actually knows what they’re doing. On top of that, the platform itself is really clunky and not user-friendly at all. I’ve lost track of trades because of constant glitches and delays, which is extremely frustrating when you’re trying to manage investments seriously. Honestly, I expected a lot more from a company that markets itself as professional and reliable. At this point, I’m considering moving all my funds elsewhere because I just can’t trust them anymore.

The company has a community in Discord. When I bought the challenge, I joined. There are traders with a lot of experience and knowledge. In the community you can ask a question and you will always get an answer. This is great and a good decision by the company. Thank you.

As a trader working with Alpha Capital Group, I would like to share my positive experience with this prop trading company.
One of the key advantages of the company is its transparency and openness.
The company provides its traders with access to a variety of trading instruments, including currency pairs, commodities, and indices. Trading is conducted through the MetaTrader 5 platform, ensuring stability and convenience. Additionally, Alpha Capital Group offers educational materials and support, which is especially beneficial for beginners in the trading industry.

The company has a neutral trust rating. We recommend working with companies with a higher trust rating!
